HOW DO WE INCORPORATE DIR/FLOORTIME AT SMILE?

The Floortime™ team at The SMILE Center receive extensive and ongoing training in the DIR/Floortime™ methodology. Floortime™ techniques are utilized in social and sibling groups, as well as individualized sessions, to support improved social-emotional, communication and play skills. Children are supported and challenged to sustain greater engagement and regulation, and expand verbal and non-verbal interactions across a variety of emotional and environmental conditions. Our Floortime™ team work closely with our clinicians to best meet the specific sensory, motor and language needs of each child.
